Japan: Kobelco Vinyloop East: plant built, under commissioning, on schedule.
As planned, on 31st March 2006, was mechanically completed the Kobelco Vinyloop East plant (Prefecture of Chiba, Japan), using the Vinyloop process invented by Solvay.
The commissioning takes place in April and May: running empty, then with water and solvent. In the next weeks the first trials with PVC will be done.
It will be officially inaugurated on 30th May 2006.
The new unit will benefit from improvements developed in the mother plant of Vinyloop Ferrara, Italy: filtration technology, lower steam consumption. A part of the vessels were built in Belgium and shipped to Japan. The plant will be equipped to prepare end of life agricultural sheets.
The capacity will be of 18.000 t/year and regenerate the PVC from agricultural sheets, cables sheathings, wall and floor coverings.
The customers were sampled, the production will begin in June: Kobelco Vinyloop East is in the starting blocks
