If the cost of landfill doubled in your region, what would happen?

Regenerated PVC compound is more eco-efficient than its virgin counterpart

The graph compares a regenerated PVC compound gained from cable waste with a compound made with fresh material. The best economical results are in the right part of the graph, and the best environmental performances in the upper part.

The regenerated and virgin compounds are made of PVC resin, plasticizer, stabiliser and filler material. The production of each of these components consumes natural resources and generates effects on the environment that are higher than the Vinyloop operation itself.

In other words, the Vinyloop recycling operation saves non renewable natural resources and has a lesser impact on the environment.

Measurements of the effects on the environment are based on the use of non renewable primary energy, the nitrification of waters, the generation of photosmog, the extent of global warming potential and the acidification of rain. The glossary explains these concepts.
