General description
PVC window frames or roller shutters began their brilliant carreers in the seventies, and became a star application for PVC. New requirements, in insulation, or aesthetics, are generating ever growing post-consumer wastes.
Collection schemes exist in the largest markets of PVC windows: Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France…using techniques like melt filtration or micronisation. These techniques cannot work above 5% contaminants, otherwise costs soar and quality falls.
Vinyloop is so effective that it can recycle post consumer materials with a higher contamination level and offering a regenerated PVC compound of high homogeneity and cleanness.
Contribution to sustainable development
Window frames and roller shutters are potentially the biggest and easiest to collect source of post consumer PVC waste. The regenerated PVC compound keeps the properties it was originally designed for and can "go back" into window frames or roller shutters.
